So Pas Police are Asking Public’s Help in Nabbing Burglary Suspects

So Pas police are asking the public’s help in identifying three suspects that are suspected of breaking into a home by smashing a window and fleeing empty handed before police arrived a short time later.

The three men allegedly used some sort of tool to “shatter a sliding glass door” at the So Pas home in the 2000 block of Ashbourne Drive, police said in a release.

“On 12-28-18, at about 11:49 AM, the above suspects walk to the rear yard of the victim’s residence in the 2000 block of Ashbourne Drive, South Pasadena, CA,” according to the news release issued by the South Pasadena Police Department on Thursday, Jan. 10. “Suspects use an unknown tool to shatter a sliding glass door to gain entry. Suspects enter victim’s residence and activate alarm. Suspects immediately exit house and as suspects flee.”

Police also said the homeowner had a residential surveillance camera as well as was protected by a security system that activated the alarm when the window was smashed.

“There isn’t much more info we have,” So Pas Police Det. Richard Lee said in an email to The Review. “We got the alarm call and went out and saw the smashed window. The owner reviewed the surveillance video and saw the suspects. The suspects were in the house probably less than a minute and left.  Fortunately, no loss as the suspects fled right away.”

There was no vehicle seen on the video, but police said there was one nearby.

Police also released descriptions of the three suspects.
