South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

An unidentified man was reported to have robbed a victim at gunpoint at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in the 1000 block of Columbia Street. The man was described as Hispanic with brown eyes, being 20-30 years old, standing 5 feet-9 inches tall and wearing a black hoodie with a white Nike logo, black gaiter mask and black or blue canvas pants.

A 54-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after allegedly being involved in a collision at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.

A 23-year-old Duarte man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after being reported as a possible drunk driver at 2:27 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5.

A 62-year-old South Pasadena man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon at 2:29 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, on Warwick Place after allegedly swinging a screwing at a relative during a fight.

A cellphone was reported stolen from an unlocked home that was burglarized sometime between 8:25 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, and 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30.

An unidentified man and woman driving a black Chevrolet SUV were seen taking a catalytic converter from a Honda Accord sedan parked in the 1000 block of Fremont Avenue at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.

An air compressor, nail finisher and air horse were reported stolen from a GMC Sonoma pickup truck parked in the 100 block of Monterey Road that was burglarized sometime between 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, and 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2.

A 30-year-old man and 28-year-old man, both from Los Angeles, were arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools after being found in a parked vehicle in the 800 block of Meridian Avenue at 6:02 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.

A bag of haircutting tools was reported stolen from a Lexus RX330 SUV that was burglarized where it was parked in the 1300 block of Huntington Drive sometime from noon-1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29. The thief smashed through the driver’s side window.

An unidentified man was reported to have damaged the rear passenger side door window on a Honda Civic sedan parked in the 1100 block of Huntington Drive at around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2. The man was described as Hispanic, wearing a black t-shirt, black vest, blue jeans and black baseball cap and carrying a motorcycle helmet.

An unknown person was reported to have tampered with the driver’s side door lock on a Toyota Camry sedan parked in the 1100 block of Pine Street sometime between 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, and 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a porch in the 1300 block of Lyndon Street sometime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Mail and a package were reported stolen from a mailbox in the 500 block of Alta Vista Avenue sometime between 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28.

Packages were reported stolen from the front porch of a home in the 2000 block of Fremont Avenue at 11:13 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28.

An unidentified man was seen lighting a mattress on fire in the 1100 block of Huntington Drive at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30. He was described as standing 5 feet-9 inches and wearing a black mask, black hoodie, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack with orange lining.

A 32-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after he was pulled over at 3:25 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, near Mission Street and Fairview Avenue.

A 43-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at a business in the 900 block of Meridian Avenue at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.

A 46-year-old transient woman was arrested on suspicion of vandalism at 4:19 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, after allegedly kicking and damaging a door in the 1500 block of Columbia Street.

A resident in the 1800 block of Bushnell Avenue reported that their vehicle tires were damaged after someone left screws in the home’s driveway sometime between 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27.

A wall in the 1000 block of Mission Street was reported at 2:29 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, to have been vandalized with spray paint.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, Nov. 30, and Monday, Dec. 6. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
