“The Kings of 88,” a classic piano rock band, rocked and rolled at Garfield Park this past Sunday.
Hundreds of residents came early to stake out shady spots, spread blankets and put down chairs. While many just sat and enjoyed the performance, others danced the night away, while youngsters found many ways to entertain themselves.
Some played card games, others juggled balls and one little tyke, dressed as a Star Wars figure, did flips among the dancers.
The next concert in Garfield Park’s summer series is Aug. 11 at 6 p.m., featuring the R&B/funk “Blue Breeze Band.”
