The Oneonta Club and the D.U.D.E.S. are bringing South Pasadena together on May 14 at the annual Oneonta Club Foundation Scholarship Awards dinner.
Guest Speaker Ed Donnelly is the president and Founding member of D.U.D.E.S. and current President of the South Pasadena Middle School PTA. Since forming in 2012, the South Pas D.U.D.E.S. have completed dozens of service projects and participated in community building events. Dads Uniting Dads in Education and Service (D.U.D.E.S) mission is to engage local fathers to take a bigger role in the lives of their children and the community at large.
The D.U.D.E.S have partnered on fundraisers and events including the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation (SPPF), SPEF, PTAs from all five district schools, the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee and South Pasadena Middle School Boosters Club.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Little Silver Hearts. LSH’s western Americana sound conjures echos of Merle Hagard and Ray Lamontagne lamenting the dusty byways of the nation’s backroads.
Since 1923, the Oneonta Club has welcomed Gentlemen of High Standards to engage in thoughtful discussion and civic affairs by offering a variety of programs including science, history, the arts and hot topics of importance to the community.
The Oneonta Club is a non-denominational social club and meets the second Monday of the month. Programs begin at 6:00 pm and include a wine happy hour, full course dinner and dessert. Guests are welcome to attend by RSVP only, no walk-ins will be admitted. Ticket prices are $35 per person.
