Library Seeks Teen Advisory Board Members

First published in the Nov. 26 print issue of the South Pasadena Review.

The South Pasadena Public Library is recruiting for the spring 2022 Teen Advisory Board.
TAB is a small group of high school students dedicated to helping and improving the library. TAB members contribute by assisting with light projects such as craft activity preparation; suggesting and developing programs for the South Pasadena teens; and helping library staff at events.

The spring 2022 TAB will meet in-person at the library on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m., January through April. TAB members earn community service hours for each meeting they attend and for time spent assisting with programs.
Teens must complete two steps to apply: First, they complete the Library Teen Volunteer web form, and second, submit a completed City Volunteer Application to TAB Librarian Anne Armacost at aarmacost@southpasadenaca.gov (applications may also be dropped off at the Library). A parent or guardian must sign the City Volunteer Application. For more information and links to the web form and volunteer application, visit the TAB web page at southpasadenaca.gov/TAB.
The spring Teen Advisory Board will consist of 19 members. Positions are filled on a first-come basis.
For questions, contact TAB Librarian Anne Armacost at aarmacost@southpasadenaca.gov, or (626) 403-7358.
