Aireene Espiritu is a singer-songwriter with over 20 years experience performing as a solo artist as well as with her band, Aireene & The Itch, covering various genres from folk, blues, gospel, rhythm and blues – a mix of stompin’, swayin’, and timeless Americana. Her new EP, Cowbella, is a tribute to LA based band, The Bum Steers, backed by original members, Edward Tree, Billy Block, Taras Prodaniuk and Mark Fosson. The Bum Steers’ unique blend of country, blues and rock has gained them a loyal following in the U.S. and worldwide. Their first video “Why, Nona” was aired frequently on TNN & CMT. The band made numerous appearances on “Prime Time Country”, WSM Radio & TV in Nashville, and were personally invited to play The Grand Ole Opry by Porter Wagoner after their music caught his ear. Tonight’s show honors the memory of Mark Fosson and Billy Block.a
