Before Carlos Calvo launched a solo career, he fronted bands that toured with Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Willie Porter. As a solo artist, he has toured with The Bacon Brothers and Colin Hay. His most recent album, Further Down The Line, is a 12-song exposition on life and love which the Washington Times dubbed “Sheer mastery.” He injects virtuoso guitar playing into his fresh brand of ‘alternative folk’. Born and raised in Huntington Station, New York, Maureen Toth attended Boston University where she studied voice and began to develop her range. After graduating she attended theatre school in Manhattan before relocating to the west coast. In 2010 she released Shine, a ten-song album of nuanced Americana and lyric driven melodies. Cut Flowers followed in 2016 with her latest release in May of Blur, a rock-leaning co-production with Carlos Calvo and Paul Smith. We’ll also hear from special guest Young Chhaylee.
