San Diego artist (by way of Detroit and New York) Missy Andersen loves a good story song. As a child, she was exposed to her parent’s extensive music collection that included soul, R&B, blues, jazz, and gospel. It didn’t matter the genre, her favorite songs were always the ones that told a story. Now, along with her guitarist/husband Heine Andersen, they create songs that are the soundtrack to their lives, and to the lives of a lot of fans they’ve earned along the way. Stacy Antonel, front-woman of Ginger Cowgirl, has a taste for many musical styles, although her band’s sound is firmly rooted in classic country. Her vocal ability is remarkable. In 2013 she beat out hundreds of singers to win the $10,000 grand prize on Fox Television’s “3 Minutes to Stardom”. She’s a classically trained pianist from the age of 7, holds a degree from UC Berkeley, and got her start in the music industry singing jingles while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
