7:30 p.m. at Arroyo Seco Grill. The Riner Scivally Quartet perform compelling arrangements of jazz standards and originals. Riner is a long-time South Pas resident and is noted for his warm tone and lyrical solos. He teaches guitar at Occidental and PCC and has worked with a variety of jazz artists including Larance Marable, Bobby Bradford, and Gary Foster. He will be joined by another South Pas legend, bassist Putter Smith (Alan Broadbent, Michael Kansan, and Jordi Rossy). Also Chuck Manning on sax (Henry Franklin, Theo Saunders, Roy McCurdy, Steve Huffsteter, Bill Cunliffe, Carl Saunders, Bobby Bradford), and Tim Pleasant on drums (Alan Pasqua, Anthony Wilson, John Pisano, Charlie Haden, Larry Goldings).
